NEW MD FOR CINDERFORD BAND
Cinderford Band is delighted to formally announce the appointment of it’s new Musical Director Steve Kane.
Steve was formerly Solo Baritone for the Cory Band, and having completed 10 years with the band, he is thrilled to be making this next step in his musical career.
During his time with Cory Band, Steve has enjoyed great success on the contest stage, achieving no less than 17 Major contest wins.
Steve started contesting at the age of 16 with Aveley and Newham before moving to Cardiff in 2008 to study under the tuition of Dr Robert and David Childs.
During this time Steve enjoyed an 18-month spell with Tongwynlais Temperance Band as well as the German Staff Band of the Salvation Army, the organisation that Steve grew up as a member of.
The bands Chairman Ian Tomlins says ‘The Cinderford Band are very much looking forward to be working with Steve. Definitely, exciting times ahead!'
