Cinderford Academy Band new position

The Cinderford Band is very pleased to announce, that Peter Richards has been appointed in his new role as Schools Liaison Officer for the Cinderford Academy Band.

Peter, already known locally with his expertise in teaching at schools throughout Gloucestershire, including the Forest of Dean area, and will be managing the growth and development of the Cinderford Academy Band with his team.

Peter says, “I am really excited to get started with The Cinderford Band under this new role. I hope to not only offer assistance in growing and developing the whole youth development side of the band, but to also offer and give exciting opportunities to the children within the local area, and to provide close relationships between the band and nearby schools. We have already discussed lots of exciting ideas, and hope that these, plus new concepts will create and aid a new generation of brass players within the Forest of Dean.”

The Cinderford Academy Band offer free tuition/free membership/free instrument hire (if you haven’t already got one) to help the development of children. Whether this is as a new beginner, or to expand on the musical tuition already received.

The band rehearses on Wednesdays from 6.45pm to 7.45pm with fully qualified and DBS credited tutors in a friendly and safe environment.
